City Ordinances
About Ordinances
An ordinance is a law enacted by a municipal body, in this case the Elkins City Council. Ordinances govern matters not already covered by state or federal laws such as zoning, safety and building regulations. Ordinances prescribe some permanent rule of conduct or government to continue in force until the ordinance is repealed.
